嫦娥奔月拯救黎民版：
羿是远古时期有穷国的国王，力大无穷，勇武善射，但性格暴戾，滥施苛政，弄得民不聊生。羿想长生不老，他于是从王母娘娘那里拿来了可以成仙得道的灵药。
美丽善良的妻子嫦娥得知此事，为使百姓免受羿长期的残暴统治，就偷偷把仙药吃了，化作仙女飘向月宫，成了月宫中的神女。

乡亲们很想念好心的嫦娥，在院子里摆上嫦娥平日爱吃的食品，遥遥地为她祝福。从此以后，每年八月十五，就成了人们企盼团圆的中秋佳节。
