取消高考英语你的看法的英语作文
Should English Be Canceled In Entrance Exam？As we know that, English is an important subject in schools of China。 But recently, ourgoverment just took out a big step in Entrance Exam reform about English.
The score share of English decreased from 150 to100。 This made a dispute in society, and some people even think that English should be totally canceled in Entrance Exam.
Personally, I don’t agree with this opinion。No doubt that English is the most popular language in the world。 With the Earth becoming smaller and smaller, people all over the world mix together and they need to communicate with a kind of language.
English has been playing this role well for long time and it would play its role in the following centuries for sure。 If we cancel English in Entrance Exam, how do we expect our students to learn English?
So, canceling English in exam just means learning English stops in our schools, and this would result serious problem。English should not be canceled in Entrance Exam.
Most secondary school students often feel stressed due to a huge amount of tests and examiniations. Specifically speaking, they have quizzes every week and they also have monthly examinations which directly determine their ranking and final results. Thus, these students are pressurized by lots of exams. Hence, some educationalists come up a solution that is to cancel these examinations. The cancellation of exams indeed bring about some benefits to secondary school students. As students do not have to spend too much time on preparing for exams, they can learn more knowledge based on their interests and hobbies. They can also have more time for extra lessons such as piano and violin lessons. On the other hand, it can bring more harm than good. Not all students can learn independently. Lazy students do not have to study hard to get good results. It will be harmful to their future if they do not study well. Therefore, examinations should not be cancelled. (160字)
