法律专业 法律专业培养系统掌握法学知识，熟悉我国法律和党的相关政策，能在国家机关、企事业单位和社会团体，特别是能在立法机关、行政机关、检察机关、审判机关、仲裁机构和法律服务机构以及涉外、涉侨等部门从事法律工作的高级专门人才。
法律专业毕业生以理论基础扎实、综合素质高、适应能力强而着称。这是法律来源上的一个重要特征。所谓国家制定和认可是指法律产生的两种方式。国家制定形成的是成文法，国家认可形成的通常是习惯法。
刑事犯罪通常有三类。即决犯罪，无审判团审判，是指轻微犯罪只在地方法院审判（国内指民事庭）即可。可公诉犯罪是严重犯罪，如谋杀罪，只能在（英国）刑事法庭公开审判。含有以事实为依据指控犯罪的正式文件被称为起诉书。还有一类犯罪即可在地方法院也可在刑事法庭审判，诸如盗窃罪，抢劫罪。如果被告提起上诉，地方法院即可当庭宣判也可转向刑事法庭宣判，刑事庭可采用更严厉判罚。如果没有上诉请求，法庭可自行决定判罚方式。被告人可能请求陪审团判罚，如果获许，此类判罚应由刑事法庭作出。
