attend强调动作，是正式书面用语、作“专心,注意”解时其后常接to、用作及物动词、可用于被动语态。具体如下：
1、attend的本意是指心里经常性地想着〔做〕某事,现代英语中主要用于表示“参加(会议、集会、典礼、婚礼、追悼会等)”,有时也指上学、听课、听报告等。它强调的是动作,即听或看,为正式书面用语。
