As far as these habits are concerned I do like them.

There are strengths and weaknesses to every culture, and our job is to decern between them, make use of the good ones, and discard the bad.

随着时代的进步和经济的发展，当今的网络社会已被各式各样的广告充斥着。广告是一门浓缩的、综合的、商业性的艺术。作为一种应用语言，广告语言已成了独特的文体形式，作为译者，在翻译过程中如何把握译文与原文之间平衡的一个尺度，那就显得至关重要了。
广告文作是由广告本身所负的目的所决定的，其翻译必须针对观众的喜好，有效的表达主题，准确真实的传播商品信息，增强其感染力，使其富有生活气息，雅俗共赏。广告，品种繁杂，形式多样。但是不管是何种形式，其目的与作用大抵相同，即提供信息、开拓市场,以图其广告语言打动顾客。广告的表现与一般的艺术不同，它是为了吸引人注意，激发人们的购买欲望，进而完成购买行为。所以它的语言风格独特，在词汇、语法、修辞上都各有其特点，在翻译上也有其讲究。在进行广告语言翻译的时候，考虑到语言文化的差异，在语篇层面上，我们尽可能地保留原文的构思。力求再现原文的创意美。在词句层面上，则不必拘泥原文的表达法式，而应该侧重传达其效果。因此，广告翻译的基本准则就是等效原则。
创意是广告创造的灵魂，创造性翻译就成为广告翻译的最高原则：忠实、通顺相比，创作出通俗易懂，容易记又能有力促销产品的广告显得更为重要。从某种程度上来讲，能实现广告主要目的的译文就是好译文。

我现在是一所高级中学的英语教师，在教学工作中，曾经身为学生的我发现学生在青春期所产生的一系列微妙的心理变化对学生的学习影响很大，例如，学习注意力不够集中，青春期的心理叛逆，致使很多学生误入歧途。这些潜在却容易被忽视的问题对学生的学习以及人生观导向对学生影响很大。而这一阶段是一个人形成正确的价值观，世界观，以及塑造自己各方面素质的最佳阶段。要解决这些复杂的问题以我现在的研究能力是有限的，所以我决定到美国，到UNT去继续学习和研究这一领域来解决中国教育现在所面临的这一严峻问题。

我父母是我的资助人，他们均为政府公务员，我爸爸是项目主任，我妈妈是档案管理员。他们的工作年限总和超过40年，两人年薪总和为10万元人民币，他们为我在银行里存了40万元人民币的存款，用来提供我在美国的学习和生活的一切费用。
