Environmental protection is the world's attention, most concerned

about. Although our strength is a small, but can be around some

little contribution made for environmental protection; for example

the most simple, run out of water readily tap or shutting off the

lights when leaving, these things are simple, you can still be true,

causing a serious waste of resources on the Earth is valuable, is

limited, if we now also does not pay attention to, then the world's

last drop really want to become our tears, our beautiful blue planet

Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world.

With the development of industry and agriculture, cars make great

noises and give off poisonous gas. Because of population expansion

and overdevelopment, resources has become less and less. Trees on the

hills have been cut down, and waste water is being poured

continuously into rivers. The whole ecological balance of the earth

is changing. Massive destruction of environment has brought about

negative effects and even poses a great threat to man’s existence.

We must face the situation that exists and take actions to solve

our environmental problems. We hope that all these measures will be

effective and bring back a healthful environment.


世博会——

Everybody knows the solemn Expo is coming. The Expo will be held on

the first of May and end on the thirtieth of October. There over 184

days to go for World Expo.
Expo’s lovely mascot is “Haibao”.Haibao is wearing a blue dress

and he is very popular now.Expo has many building. The China pavilion

is near my home. I see it everyday. It has seven red.
I am a student in Shanghai in China. What can I do for Expo?

I think the first is we must study hard in English because millions

of foreigners will visit Shanghai during 2010 World Expo.If a

foreigners has some problem. I will help them. If a person go an

astray. I will tell him how to go and tell them the theme of World

Expo is”Better city Better life.”

Secoondy,We can draw some picture and tell the people don’t do

something.Some sign means”Don’t pick flower”and so on.

The third,we will do a volunteer.When you see some people wear the

same colour dress then they are volunteer.

Expo will coming.Let’s go to help everybody !

Today things are different. The world has become too crowded. We are using up our natural resources,and polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals. If we continue to do this, human life on earth will not survive.We realize that if too many fish are taken from the sea, there will soon be none left. Yet,with modern fishing methods, more and more fish are caught.We know that if too many trees are cut down, forests will disappear. Yet, we continue to use powerful machines to cut down more and more trees. We see that if rivers are polluted with waste products, we will die. Yet, waste products arestill put into rivers.We know that if the population continues to rise at the present rate, in a few years, there won’t be enough food.What can we do to solve these problems?If we eat more vegetables and less meat, there will be more food available. Land for crops feeds five times more people than land where animals are kept.Our natural resources will last longer if we learn to recycie them.The world population will not rise so quickly if people use modern methods of birth control.

环保：Today the quality of our natural environment has become an important issue. The world population is rising so quickly that the world has become too crowded. We are using up our natural resources and at the same time polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals. If we continue to do this, life on earth cannot survive.

Concerned people have made some progress in environmental protection. Governments of many countries have established laws to protect the air, forests and sea resources and to stop environmental pollution.

Still more measures should be taken to solve environmental problems. People should be further educated to recognize the importance of the problems, to use modern methods of birth control, to conserve our natural resources and recycle our products. We are sure that we can have a better and cleaner place in the future.
