~ 1、农历的五月初五是端午节。在中国，端午节有着很悠久的历史，同时也是一个很重大的节日。人们会以赛龙舟的比赛活动来庆祝端午节，参赛小组划着龙舟朝着鼓声前进，最终达到终点。

2、端午节的由来三个传说
（1）纪念屈原:屈原是战国诗人及政治家,因主张政治改革,触犯到贵族大臣们的利益,遭到排挤和流放,最后楚国被秦国打败,屈原悲愤难耐,跳入汨罗江,以身殉国,老百姓为了纪念屈原，就把他跳江的日子定为端午节。
（2）纪念吴国大将伍子胥:相传春秋时期,楚国人伍子胥带领吴军杀入楚国首都,将已死去的楚平王鞭尸三百,报杀父杀兄之仇。后驭带领吴军灭越国,越国国王勾践将自身作为人质押在吴国，伍子胥劝谏吴王夫差杀勾践,夫差不听。后夫差听信太宰伯龉谗言, 派人送一把宝剑给伍子胥,其自杀。伍子胥死前对邻舍人说:“我死后,将我眼睛挖出悬挂在吴京之东门上,以看越国军队入城灭吴。”吴王夫差听后大怒，令人在五月五日将伍子胥的尸体沉于钱塘江中。当地百姓为了纪念他,便在这一天包粽子、赛龙舟。
（3）纪念孝女曹娥:相传东汉上虞人,曹娥的父亲溺于江中,曹娥寻找多日后,仍未找到其父，于是在五月五日的那一天, 14岁的曹娥投江寻父，几天后,曹娥抱着父亲的尸体走出江。后人为了纪念曹娥的孝道,于是便将每年的五月五日作为节日纪念曹娥。
