【英语作文】黄山为“三山五岳”中“三山”之一,位于我国安徽境内。黄山有72峰,风景区自然景观
三山，有三种说法：
(1)是指华夏远古神话传说中的三条龙脉：喜马拉雅山脉(盘古开天辟地、共工怒触不周山)、昆仑山脉(玉帝居庭玉京山、嫦娥奔月)、天山山脉(西王母娘居庭、女娲炼石补天)；
(2)是道教传说中的三座仙山：蓬莱（蓬壶）、方丈山（方壶）、瀛洲（瀛壶）；
(3)今人所喜欢的三座旅游名山：黄山、庐山、雁荡山。
五岳指泰山、华山、衡山、嵩山、恒山。
泰山是“五岳”之首，位于山东泰安 。
华山海拔2154.9米，位于陕西省西安以东120公里历史文化故地渭南市的华阴市境内。
衡山，又名南岳，是我国五岳之一，位于湖南省衡阳市南岳区，海拔1300.2米。
北岳恒山：
山西恒山，原名高是山、玄武山、崞山，后附会北岳恒山故事，明后期建北岳庙，清顺治被定为北岳。
河北恒山，明代以前北岳，今大茂山，亦名恒山、常山、玄岳、神尖、毋恤台、神仙山等，位于河北省阜平县西北70里，海拔1989米；北岳庙在曲阳。
中岳嵩山横跨荥阳、新密、巩义、登封、偃师、伊川、洛阳等市县，全长60多公里。

三山是华夏远古传说之地；五岳是中华文化的兴盛之地。
五岳是远古山神崇拜、五行观念和帝王封禅相结合的产物，它们以象征中华民族的高大形象而名闻天下。以中原为中心，按东、西、南、北、中方位命名。五岳称华夏名山之首，有景观和文化双重意义。五岳各具特色：东岳泰山之雄，西岳华山之险，南岳衡山之秀，北岳恒山之奇，中岳嵩山之峻，早已闻名于世界。
