听力是托福考察的重中之重，用老师的话说，除了阅读，无论托福的哪一个环节都离不开听，而听力恰恰众多托友们苦恼的地方。在这里，说一句正确的话：几乎每个人都会经历听不懂到听懂，做不对题到做对题的一个艰苦过程，这个过程极其漫长，很难说有什么特别的秘方和窍门，唯一的方式那就是多听，多练。要有一个循序渐进的过程，而不是一开始就心烦自己做不对题。
具体训练方式如下：
一：首先确定自己的基础，根据你的自测，你显然还不够托福的听力水平。如果时间允许，建议先不要听托福的材料，选择慢速voa英语广播先练习听懂，听懂的方式就是“精听”，注意，是精听，不是听写。其实托福的听力和四六级一样，还是主要考你会不会做题，不是考你能不能把文章全部听懂。三分多钟的文章，而且包含大量专业讲座，你要全部听懂那是几乎不可能的。精听就是听懂每一句话，一篇文章不管多长，分成一句话一句话，这一句话的长度大约在五秒钟左右，当然可以根据情况随机应变。听这五秒钟的话，自己分析其中含义，不要记笔记，能听懂就跳过，不能听懂，按暂停键返回，继续听，重复三遍，看看自己能不能理解，如果还不能理解。那就先跳过，这样，直到循序渐进听完所有文章。打开听力原文，对照原文找出刚才听不懂的地方，弄清听不懂的原因。（一般听不懂原因大致是生词不懂、句型不熟、连读弱读影响等）是生词的话就把生词的意思记下来，听十遍，是句型不懂就把句型记下来，多造几个句子。是连读弱读听不懂，那就只有多听，积累连读的大致范围和单词。以后，参照这个方法强力训练自己的听力。一定要听大量的文章。
二：有了voa的基础，再开始训练托福听力，（同样按照这个方式训练，只是这个时候一定要做题，如果不做题的话，你会缺失分析的能力。现在可以告诉你一些诀窍。的确，除非英语非常好的人，考试三分多种都需要抓重点，重点究竟该怎么抓，没有明确的定义，要根据文章意思来理解。举个例子，如果讲的是天文学有关太阳风的文章，那么对专业名词在文章中解释的定义、例子、学生的提问、回答这些都可以算是必考的重点，这些地方，一定要全部听懂，其他的则大概听懂即可。当然，这并不是完全一定的。至于记笔记，实际上真正如果听懂了的话笔记的帮助不算太大，记笔记可以参考你课堂上的方式，包括速记、符号等方式，这些可以选择，但一定要明确一点：听力听力主要在听，不要过度依赖笔记。

好了，大致训练方式就是这么多了，这个方式是你课下训练，课上自己认真听讲即可。回来温习功课，相信认真坚持每天训练三个月左右，听力关可以说就过了
