经常见到比如in need of，in favor of这样的结构。这属于什么语法呀， 有什么规律吗
这是一个介词短语，后面接名词一起作表语，定语，或者状语，所以可以相当于副词、形容词。
例如：I am in favor of you.表语
The man in favor of you is a teacher.定语
I am here in favor of you.状语

in favor of 支持，赞同，有利于，以...为受款人等意思外还有ask for help的意思。
第一种I am in favor of +N.的结构
其中的N.不仅仅指名词 （I am in favor of football.）还有代词和动名词
你的第二种中I am in favor of it that…… it是代词 后面的that是从句 跟你要用的结构没有太大的关系（可以看下语法书上的从句篇）
你的第三种中I am in favor of carrying on space research. carrying是动名词 是动词carry做了词形上的变化具有了名词的作用
这类短语有三部分构成：
1、表示“处在...中 / 在... 情况下”的介词 in
2、名词充当的介词宾语
3、表示所属关系的介词短语 of …
合成短语的意思就是“处在属于…的某种情况中”，常用来作条件状语。
常见短语举例：
in need of 需要…【即“处于…的需要中”或“在... 的需要情况下”】
in favor of 同意…/有利于…【即“处于…的赞同中”或“在... 的有利情况下”】
in want of 因不足而需要…/缺少…【即“处于…的短缺中”或“在... 的缺少情况下”】
in character of 与…相符【即“处于…的特性中”】
in difficulties of处在…的困难中
in danger of 处在…的危难中
in doubt of 怀疑…【即“处于…的怀疑中”】
这种是介词短语，一般在句中做状语用，相当于一个状语从句。没有什么规律，主要考的是意思，见到了背下来就行了，不难。
