长期以来，人们普遍认为水是“取之不尽，用之不竭”的，在日常生活用水中不知道珍惜 ，没有意识到水对于我们来说是多么重要，挥霍浪费水资源的现象司空见惯。
事实上，中国的水资源十分紧缺，我国水资源人均占有量只有2300立方米左右，相当于世 界平均水平的四分之一.为此，我国于2002年1月颁布新水法，其第一章第七条明确规定，“ 国 家实行计划用水，厉行节约用水”，把节约用水以法的形式给予规范。
2004年5月28日，河南省十届人民代表大会常务委员会九次会议通过《河南省节约用水管理条例》，除了强调节约用水之外，主张使用经济手段，利用价格杠杆对水资源的使用予以控制，其第一章第十三条规定：“计划用水单位应该按照批准的计划用水。超计划用水的，对超过用水部分收取加价水费。”据统计，河南大学在2004年前四个月累计用水410825立方米，标准水价每立方米1.8元，共上缴水费计人民币739485元。对于130825立方米的计划外用水，则按标准水价的一倍至五倍不等收取加价水费计人民币764408元。也就是说，我校在这四个月仅用水支出就达人民币1503893元。
由此来看，我校在日常用水中存在着相当严重的问题，稍加留意就会发现自己身边的确存在着这样或那样浪费水资源的现象。究其原因，主要是意识不够，没有养成节约用水的观念和习惯。节约用水，不仅仅是一句口号，应该从爱惜一点一滴水做起，牢固树立“节约用水光荣，浪费用水可耻”的观念，时时处处注意节约用水。总务处向全校教职工生提出倡议，请大家注意节约用水。大而言之，为了保护及合理利用国家有限的水资源;小而言之，为了维护学校和我们自己的利益，为学校的发展做贡献。

4、洗澡时请间断放水沐浴，搓洗时应及时关水。

5、请做到一水多用，充分利用水资源。

6、见到有浪费水资源现象，请及时制止。

7、发现水管有漏水现象，请马上向有关部门反映。

8、宣传节约用水，做到身体力行，带动身边的老师、同学共同参与节约用水。

自来水不是“自来的”，水资源也是有限的，必须科学合理地加以利用，节约用水，提高水的重复利用率。

As we all know, plants and animals need water. So do the people's life and production, t,ife couldn't go on without water.
With the rapid development of agriculture and industry, more and more water is needed. Therefore, water is becoming scarce in many places. What's more, a lot of rivers and lakes are beginning polluted by the waste watcr from factories. Fish can't live in them any longer. At the same time, thc waste water does great harm to people's health.
In order to make rivers and lakes clean and prevent water from being polluted,we must do something to stop all sorts of pollution.
