定语从句the way后面为什么不能用the way？

在the way+从句中, the way 是先行词, 其后是定语从句，它有三种表达形式：

定语从句=先行词+关系词+从句
先行词：
指被定语从句修饰的名词、代词或句子。
一般先行词出现在定语从句的前面。
关系词：
关系词常有3个作用：
①连接作用，连接主句和定语从句。
②指代先行词。
③在定语从句中担当成分。
例句：he returned to the small village where he grew up.
=he returned to the small village in which he grew up.
关系副词where做的是从句的地点状语，它不能做方式状语。way这个单词，它可以指我们踏在脚下实实在在、看得见摸得着的道路，也可以指抽象意义的道路、方式、方法。所以在选the way的引导词时，要搞清楚the way做的是地点状语还是方式状语。看下面例句。
例句：I don't like the way_____ you speak to her.

主句I don't like the way，定语从句you speak to her.
定语从句中，主语you，谓语动词speak，介宾短语to her，主谓宾齐全，句子完整。那么the way做的就是从句的方式状语。
我们把从句还原：you speak to her in that way. 放在复合句中，用引导词(关系代词)which来代替that way (the way)，但介词in不能去掉，所以这里in which首先正确。
其次，the way做先行词是非常特殊的，the way做先行词，引导词可以用that，也可以把引导词省略。所以就有了三个答案，三个都是正确的。这个特殊情况你记住就好了。其他做从句状语的先行词都没有用that或省略引导词的，只有the way特殊。
是the way: 因为既然是定语从句，说明是对前面way的限定，所以一定要用定冠词the的。
定语从句the way: 后面用that, in which, 不填。只有这3种，没为什么。记住固定用法。
