a number of的用法
1.a number of :
意为“许多，大量”，其中number 还可以用large或者small来修饰。
eg: There must be a large number of people in my position.
(一定有很多人处在我这种境况。)
2.the number of :
意为“......的数量”

（1）a number of :

后加可数名词复数。
作主语时，谓语动词用复数。
