Our school organized an activity name our life and our environment.
It lasted from June 15th to 20th 2012. During these days, we took part in a lot of interesting activities. A teacher from Beijing University gave us a speech on Human and Nature. We learned a lot from the speech. We had a discussion on public transportation. We decided to go to school by bus or subway more often. We also collected used bottles for recycling and told people around us to save water in the neighbourhood.
All of us were tired but happy because we did good things to others and to the environment. Environment is so important to our life. We should do something to protect it. Protecting the earth is protecting ourselves.I hope to take part in this kind of activities again.
I like to help others whenever I can. I'm good at English and I often go to Baidu to help those who have difficulties in learning English. I spend quite some of my spare time answering different kinds of questions. When my answers are accepted, I'm really happy. And when they say words like 'Thank you.', I feel that I'm really a useful person in this world which makes me more confident in my study and life. What I didn't expect is that by helping others my English has improved a lot too because I need to study myself to make sure that my answers are correct.
So I'd like to say to everyone around me that, let's all try our best to lend a helping hand whenever we can for that's a good way to make ourselves happy.
