2. such+n. that.... 这样的。。。，以致于。。。

so是副词，跟形容词或另一个副词。
Such是限定词，后跟名词。
要注意的是句型2，因为:
一、这个名词有三种形式1)不可数名词，2）可数名词单数， 3）可数名词复数。
二、这个名词前常有形容词。请不要将它与句型一混淆了！
这三种情况分别举例对比一下：
1. He made such rapid progress that the teacher praised him.
2. He is such a good teacher that we all like him.
3. They are such good teachers that we all like them.
做1,3两题句时，眼光要看远一些，不要只见good,不见后面的名词！
还要注意句子2,我们还可以通过交换 a与good的位置，将such改成so:
He is so good a teacher that we all like him.
注意其不同的翻译：such a good teacher 这样的一个好老师
so good a teacher 如此好的一个老师
还要注意的是，如果名词前的“形容词”many, much, few, little（其实应叫限定词，因为它们与good, beautiful这样的形容词其实不在同一类）时，用so,不用such:
so many falls that...
so few books that...
so much work that...
so little water that....
又要注意little的两重性。上面四个词是指“多，少”的意思。little还可以作真正的形容词，修饰名词，表示“小的”，这时该用such还是要用such的：
I was surprised that such little children could finish so much work within so little time.

so副词，意思是“如此、这样”，后面常接形容词或副词；such形容词，意思是“如此、这样”，修饰名词，即可接可数名词，也可以接不可数名词。

1)“so…that”结构表示“如此……以致”，so后跟形容词或副词，that后引出结果状语从句。例如：

2)so that意为“以便；以使”，引导目的状语从句。例如：
I raised my voice so that I can make myself heard.我提高了声音，以便让大家都能听到我的话。
Bob invited world-famous singers to sing for free so that he could collect money for the hungry people.
鲍勃邀请那些世界闻名的歌手来义演，为的是替饥民们筹款。
He unlocked the bike so that he can use it at any time. 他没有锁车,为的是随时都能用.
I put on a red coat so that he could see me easily. 我穿了一件红外套以便他能很容易地看见我。
They bought some more presents so that each of us could have one.
他们又买了一些礼物,为的是我们每人都能有一份。
3)“such…that”与“so…that”的意思相同，但such后跟名词，so后跟形容词或副词。例如：
She is such a good teacher that we all like her.她是那么好的一位老师，我们大家都喜欢她。
She is so good a teacher that we all like her.她是那么好的一位老师，我们大家都喜欢她。
He worked so hard that he got ill.他工作那么努力，结果病倒了。
There are so few mistakes in his composition that the teacher praised him.
他的作文错误很少，老师表扬了他。

so+形容词/副词
such+名词
由于句子中的weather是名词，要用such，so是错误的，而day也是名词。

so 修饰形容词和副词A里面的weather 是名词，不能用so 来修饰。
such修饰名词。day 是可数名词的单数，前面有不定冠词a，并且terrible是形容词来修饰名词day。
另外这也是such...that...结构中的一个：such+a/an+adj.+可数名词单数+that从句

A不行的原因就是
so 后面的中心词应该是形容词， 答案A 中有名词weather了，所以不行

如果要用so ...that句型，可以这么表达：

The weather was so terrible that。。。。
