这是个明显的强调句。。
强调句有个特点，就是去掉 it was that 后是个完整的句子。。

首先看第一题。选B满足before的一个句式：it is some time before sth happened. 意思是距一件事发生已经有很久了。
而 meet Mr.Green again 是一个时间点的事，如果用强调还原，你会觉得不顺口。
但正好满足before的句式。这里可以翻译成：许多年之后，我与戈林先生在上海重逢。
第二题。选C。可以用还原法，去掉枝叶，就是 Many years ago ， I met Mr.Green in Sh .很久以前，我在上海遇见了戈林先生。
这里不缺任何成分了，正好配套。
当然这种题还经常和时间状语从句混搭着出陷阱题，这时候就要看问句，这是题外话了。反正多做做就熟练了。
