Once there lived a kind and lovely girl. After her father's death, her stepmother became cruel to her.Her two step-sisters teased her, asking her to do all the housework.

大四的上半年，我是在一家据说是非常有名有档次有品味的自助餐厅里打工，传说中，出入其中的都是社会高级名流。因此，对穷得当当响的同事们而言，这里是钓金龟婿的好地方。
也因此，所有的同事都争取接待、服务的位子，只有我主动跑到厨房打杂。我基本上是不喜欢服务业的，陌生人太多会让我不自在，说一些虚伪的客套话又让我恶心——如果是用英语说还好，因为反正也不是自己的语言，完全可以说出最恶心的话而没有说什么的感觉，这就是我永远都用“I love you”代替“我爱你”的原因。虽然我是需要与人打交道的经验的，我清楚，但是习惯仍是无法改变。

在厨房打杂是再简单不过的体力活，这也是很多人不愿意到厨房干的原因。幸好骄气这一点离我已经很远了，而有时，不用动脑的工作其实是一种休息。
不过在缺人手的时候，我也会充当一下服务人员，就像那一天，在别人看来是浪漫，在我看来是灾难的那一天。
音乐，人影，华装丽服交织的双双对对，让我感觉我是到了十六七世纪的英国，在盛大的社交宴会上充当自助餐小妹——前提是，如果那时有自助餐这种东西的话……
这也……太夸张了吧……这种东西，我还以为只有在外国或是充满国际企业的港台才会有呢（原谅一个被小说熏染的人吧，阿门。）！怎么这片叫China的mainland也会有这种“腐化堕落的资产阶级产物”？
嗯……想一想还是我等小人物没有见识，中国也有富人嘛，也要社交嘛，也得联系一下不知道有没有的感情嘛。我们餐厅也不是没有接过大型的某某庆祝舞会，倒是我少见多怪了，真的以为这种东西只有“上海滩”那时才存在。好歹将来我也将会是translator，就算没实力参加什么国宴的，一般这种场合也是该常遇上的吧！
那好，就借机看看所谓的上流社会的上流生活吧。我下定主意，穿梭与宾客之间，一边收拾用过的餐具，一边听着他们有一搭没一搭的交谈——不是我说，还真是没营养。/font>
