安利柯 —— 本书主人公。一个刚上小学四年纪的意大利小男孩出生在知识分子家庭，由于父亲的引导和教育，纯真善良，学习勤奋，待人诚恳、友善。
卡隆 ——— 安利柯的同学、好友。一个高个子的男孩，是非分明，敢于和邪恶抗争，常常保护弱小的同学。
代洛西 ——— 品学兼优，担任级长。他待人和气、活泼、可爱。
泼来可西 ——— 铁匠的儿子身体瘦弱，学习十分用功。原来常遭受酗酒的父亲的打骂，但只是忍气吞声，不愿让同学知道。后通过努力获得过赏牌，也使得父亲发生改变。
可莱谛 ——— 柴店主人的儿子，很小便为父母家务。学习刻苦，就连干活时也在默记功课。他性格活泼，很懂礼貌。
克洛西 ——— 卖菜人的儿子，略有残疾，父亲曾坐过监牢。
