诗对于学生来讲是一种比较抽象的文学题材，更何况去学习英语诗，对于英语为第二语言的学生来讲更是难以消化。许多老师在教学中处理英语诗，也感到困难，如果只是逐字讲解每句话的意思。学生会感到无趣，对诗的了解，也只限于表面，对一诗歌这一题材，给予一定的概念解释，更会遮住的魅力。我偶然间阅读一本英语教学丛书中，发现了一首诠释诗的英文小诗，以这首诗为导入，可以让学生在阅读中感受到底何谓诗，唤起学生的幻想，用英语的思维去感受意境。下面我就把这首英文小诗摘抄给大家，希望老师们在以后教授诗这类的英语文章时，能多少给您一下启示和帮助。
