you like an apple like 是动词：喜欢

someting like a robot appeared. like 也是介词“像” ，someting like a robot 是主语，像机器人的东西，appeared 谓语， 意思是像机器人的东西出现了

介词当然没有人称的变化，动词作用是做谓语，有人称和数的变化
you like an apple只有一种翻译，就是喜欢，介词是不能做谓语的
