elective就是选修课,但是和optional course还是有差别的
optional course的话,就是完全自愿选,你选或者不选,都不会有任何后果
而elective,虽然叫做选修课,一般学校还是有要求的.比如说,你必须要修满5门elective,虽然说你修哪五门,是你自己可以选的.而optional就不会有要修满多少门的这种硬性规定
