Learning English is much more than a fad; it is really a must! Let's take a look around us: the latest information around the world is written in or translated into English. To do well on the exam, we must, again, study hard to score high in the subject.
Frankly, my English is not good. But I have been doing my best to improve my English in order to pass the college entrance examination .In my case, I force myself to memorize at least a few new words every day because a large vocabulary is essential in learning English well. Second, I review some grammar rules every week, which helps me make fewer mistakes in writing English. Third, I read short articles and then write an English composition every other day. I hope to get high marks in both reading and writing. Now my English is improving day by day, and I hope I can do well in the English test for the coming college examination.

Why should we learn English? Good question. Some of us do have a confusion why so many people spend so much effort to learn English, and also it’s not an easy task. In my opinion, we do need to learn English, and master it.

Our achievement is only limits by our thinking way. If we can consider something in other way, things will be much easier.
Ok, some of you will say that with the rapid development of the technology, machines have stepped into our daily life gradually, we can get the translation by machine quickly, learning so hard is just ask for trouble. Is it so? I don’t appreciate it at all. Language will be much beautiful when it is spoken out. For it is full of our feelings. We can enjoy it in the process. And how can you get the enjoyment by machines. And machine can not do a good job on the cultural backgrounds and phrases.
They say learning a foreign language is a good way to raise you IQ. How can you gain the improvement through machines?
