I am very glad to make a speech here in this class again! This time, I/'d like to talk something about English.

I love English. English language is now used everywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on Internet and for international trade. Learning English makes me confident and brings me great pleasure.

When I was seven, my mother sent me to an English school. At there, I played games and sang English songs with other children . Then I discovered the beauty of the language, and began my colorful dream in the English world.

Everyday, I read English following the tapes. Sometimes, I watch English cartoons.

On the weekend, I often go to the English corner. By talking with different people there, I have made more and more friends as well as improved my oral English.

I hope I can travel around the world someday. I want to go to America to visit Washington Monument, because the president Washington is my idol. Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, When I was in the primary school, I have(had) a dream, I want to invent a device which could bring you from one place to another in no time at all, When I was in the secondary school, my dream was to study in my ideal university, And when eventually I got into the university, my dream was to graduate! 有句古话说得好“谁知盘中餐，粒粒皆辛苦”，同学们，你们可别小看了这一粒米饭，它的成长不仅需要农民伯伯的播种、施肥、收割，把它做熟还需要水和柴呢，这中间就需要消耗很多的能源。能源是推动一切物质的原动力。能源可分为初级能源及次级能源。初级能源就是指天然形成的能源。如：石油、天然气、煤、风力、水气、太阳能。次级能源就是指初级能源经过处理或转换后形成的。如：计算机、电磁能、汽油、燃料油、液化石油气、煤气。能源还可分再生能源和非再生能源，再生能源是指随着大自然的运转而永不枯竭的能源，如：风能、太阳能等；非再生能源指其有消耗性，其蕴藏量有限，会日渐减少，用完就不能再用的能源，如石油、煤等。现在就因科技发达，制造出许多科技物，如：日常生活用品、电脑等。然而大家知道，每件东西都必须用到能源。如果我们都只顾着享受，并不顾虑后果如何。不管是什么东西、物品，都是有限的，更何况是能源，能源消耗的总是最快，我们就必须要节约使用，因为我们面临的是日益减少的能源、日益恶化的环境,自然界的资源是有限的，一旦能源枯竭，我们的生存都会受到威胁，所以，我们要大力开展节能创新活动。
我们要养成良好的节能习惯，我们可以用淘过米的水来浸泡蔬菜、水果，然后再去洗碗等，一水多用，既可以省却许多洗涤剂，而且还起到卫生和环保的作用呢，也许有人觉得，我不在乎这点水，可是您知道么，如果我们全国每个家庭每天都想办法节约一些水，那全国加起来得多大量啊；可能您家灯泡还没换节能灯吧，您知道么？一只11瓦节能灯的照明效果，顶得上60瓦的普通灯泡，而且每分钟都比普通灯泡节电80%，如果全国使用12亿支节能灯，节约的电量相当于三峡水电站的年发电量。我们还要养成随手关灯的习惯，对一些不用的电脑、电视等电气设备，要及时切断电源，电脑显示器亮度要调整到一个合适的值，显示器亮度过高既会增加耗电量，也不利于保护视力。
每家每户都需要用电池，但用完后不要马上扔掉，应该放进如遥控器等低耗能的产品里继续使用，这样减少了污染物的产生。在交通方面尽量乘坐公交车、轨道交通，尽量少用私家车或电瓶车等污染环境、消耗能源的交通工具。吃饭时，不要使用一次性筷子，要知道，它们都是砍伐树林而生产出来的，一次性筷子本是日本人发明的，日本的森林覆盖率高达65％，但他们却严禁砍伐自己国土上的树木来做一次性筷子，他们使用的这种木筷都是从中国进口的，用过之后，又将筷子加工生产成纸浆出口中国换取外汇。我们还可以将日常的生活垃圾分类，纸张尽量双面利用，控制废气的产生量，也把一些可再生的资源送到回收场，经过加工后循环使用。
目前，我国也在大力发展风能、太阳能、水能、生物质能、地热能、海洋能等可再生能源，我们现在已经使用了太阳能热水器，利用了风能发电，采用了地热取暖等等，我相信，只要大家从我做起，节约能源，利用科技，发展能源，人类必将迎来美好的明天！
