内容可分三部分：

1 问候，并欢迎选手来中国 来北京 简述奥运来临。{ e.g.可套用 Welcome to Beijing, Welcome to China! Hope you can enjoy your time in Beijing.With the approaching of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games ,I know you are busy in preparation work.}

2 表明自己的仰慕 并列举选手曾今的骄人战绩 可套用这句：{I still remember when in the year of ..,your great performance in ..比赛 really impressed me a lot.然后描述比赛}

3 再次代表中国人民欢迎选手 并预祝取得好成绩 {e.g.结尾可用On behalf of Chinese people, i would like to show my best wishes to you, hoping you can chanlleage yourself and perform very well.}

写作思路：北京奥运是中国人的骄傲，同时北京奥运也是让世界瞩目的盛会，写出自己的观点和看法。
正文：
China is an ancient civilization with a long history of 5000 years and fine traditions. There are many historical sites in China. We must cherish them.
中国是一个有着五千年悠久历史和优良传统的文明古国，历史遗迹众多，我们一定要倍加珍惜爱护。

Our people have a good tradition of hospitality and etiquette.
我国人民有着热情好客讲究礼仪的优良传统。
During the Olympic Games, many foreign friends will come to our country. They come from different countries and races.
在奥运会期间一定会有很多外国朋友来到我们的国家，他们来自不同的国度、不同的种族。
They have different customs, skin color and clothes. We should respect them.
有着不同的风俗习惯，在肤色和穿戴上也有不同，我们应该要尊重他们。
We should communicate with foreign friends with the polite language that our teachers teach us, and build a deep friendship with them.
要用教师教给我们的文明礼貌用语和外国朋友交流，和他们建立起深厚的友谊。
The Olympic Games is sacred, it embodies the expectations of the Chinese people.
奥运是神圣的，它凝聚着中国人民的期望。
The Olympic Games is a symbol of peace. It is the common goal of the Chinese people. The people long for peace and hope that the world can be unified.
奥运是和平的象征，它是中国人民的共同目标，人民渴望得到和平，希望世界可以得到统一。
So people attach great importance to the Olympics.
所以人民都非常重视奥运。
Today, the Olympic Games finally opened in Beijing, and the common expectations of more than 1.3 billion Chinese people have finally come true.
今天，奥运终于在北京开幕了，十三亿多的中国人民的共同期望终于实现了。
This is not only the common expectation of the Chinese people, but also the expectation of the people of the world.
这不仅仅是中国人民的共同期望，同时也是世界人民的期望。

The Olympic Games
The Olympic Games, first held in 776BC, has a history of more than one thousand years. The modern Games is held every four years. Many countries try their best to bid for hosting the Olympic Games. And every country does its best to get more medals in the Games.
There are five rings on the Olympic flag, which are considered to symbolize the five continents: Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and America. The Olympic motto is: "Swifter, higher, stronger." The Games can promote the understanding and friendship among different peoples and different nations.
奥林匹克运动会
公元前776年首次举办的奥运会，已经有一千多年的历史了。现代奥运会每四年举办一次。许多国家尽他们最大的努力争办奥运会。每个国家在运动会中都争取拿更多的奖牌。
奥运会的会旗上有五个环。五环被认为象征着五大洲：欧洲、亚洲、非洲、澳洲和美洲。奥运会的口号是：“更高，更快，更强。”奥运会能够促进各民族以及各个国家之间的理解和友谊。

New Beijing, Great Olympics

The 2008 Olympic Game has been the most cheerful and anticipated event throughout Beijing ever since Beijing was rewarded the right to host the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, yet the focus should be shifted from making a promise to fulfilling the promise made.

In my point of view, to bridge the gap between the promise and reality, Beijing still has a long way to go. To begin with, infrastructure construction should be the primary concern. Such infrastructures as communications and transportation system and facilities ought to draw our constant attention. First, traffic jam has been an age�old headache in Beijing. The scene of long queues of vehicles worming their way inch by inch will surely cause great incontinence, and blemish the image of the city meanwhile. Next, to add enchantment to convenience, overall city�planning is indispensable. Time permitting, a redesign of city layout and adjustment of architectural style would provide a better environment for fostering the characteristic, blending, oriental elegance with international grandeur, will tower aloft among surrounding architectures. To achieve such effect, Beijing shall solicit opinions from first�rate architects and make an overall plan. Thirdly, quality of the population should be improved. To make an international metropolis, both “hardware” and “software” are important.

During the OlympicGames, I will watch the Table-Tennis Match and the Women Volleyball Match. Because I’m fond of table-tennis and volleyball. Our Table-Tennis Team and Women Volleyball are very strong and powerful. The matches will be very exciting. I can learn some skills as well. I maybe go to Beijing to be a voluteer. If I meet some foreign visitors, I will help them know more about our country. I think all people in China will be very excited. And each Chinese is proud of Beijing’s OlympicGames.
