Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, is the third biggest city in China after Beijing and Shanghai with more than 1.2 million population. One of the place in Guangzhou that tourists must go is Tianhe. Tianhe is the business district, thriving with many skyscrapers and shopping malls. The newly developed Zhujiang New Town is a showcase of futuristic urban planning and avant-garde archiecture. It is also home to the oldest messy urban village Shipai as well as most expat communities. The district serves as a transportation hub for trains to Hong Kong. Highlights include Guangdong Museum, Central Library, Opera House and Shipai village.

阳澄湖清水大闸蟹享有“蟹中之王”的美称,其外形特征：青背、白肚、黄毛、金爪、体壮.青背,蟹背青得发亮,清爽,半透明,烧熟后,显纯红,红得鲜艳.它不同于其它湖区螃蟹的灰色,色暗,泥土色重,熟后呈淡红,红中带灰.白肚,蟹肚呈白色,白得有光泽,给人以水亮玉质般美感（随着养殖业的发展,有些水深的地方也养殖阳澄湖大闸蟹,因而有少量其它湖区螃蟹肚灰白或灰色,或白得不清洁.黄毛,蟹螯上的绒毛、蟹爪上的须毛呈黄色.雄蟹绒毛密而软,不带泥土屑.蟹爪上毛须清爽,显黄色.其它湖区蟹毛带泥土色,不清洁.金爪,蟹爪尖上呈烟丝般金黄色.其它湖区的蟹,爪尖上没有明显的金黄色.体壮,阳澄湖大闸蟹体壮,墩厚,结实,两螯八爪粗壮有力,放在玻璃上能撑起,爬行自如.与其它湖区蟹相比,同样形体大小的蟹,阳澄湖大闸蟹体重重得多,它没有一壳水的现象.
阳澄湖大闸蟹为“蟹中之王”,其色、香、味妙不胜言,“螯封嫩玉双双满,壳凸红脂块块香”.那桔红色的蟹黄、白玉似的脂膏、洁白细嫩的蟹肉,造色、香、味三者之极,更无一物可之上,也是其它湖区蟹无法比拟的,难怪章太炎夫人汤国梨女士诗曰：“不是阳澄湖蟹好,此生何必住苏州”.

据说每到秋季，常有白云冉冉升起，使山上一个侧面变成白云漫漫的一片，犹如面纱笼罩，因而得名。白云山由30多座山峰簇集而成，全山面积28平方公里，最高峰摩星岭海拔382米，是广州市最高峰。

陈家祠为三进式庭院，由九堂六院大小19座建筑组成。它的建筑装饰集中体现了广东民间装饰艺术的精华，巧妙地采用了木雕、砖雕、陶塑、铜铁铸等工艺进行装饰，技艺巧夺天工，十分有名。陈氏书院是广东现存规模最大、保存最完整、装饰最精美的古代艺术建筑，现为广东民间工艺博物馆。
