应该是在big后面加the才对。
这里however表示让步，意为“无论如何”“不管怎样”，用来修饰形容词或副词，其词序为：
however+形容词或副词+主语+谓语。这样用的however其实具有连词的功能，用以引导让步状语从句。
主语不可能是单独的名词，如果不属于特殊情况，不是复数就肯定是需要冠词的，这属于名词前面冠词的使用问题。这里特指他们所(会)遇到的灾难。
1. in the public 改成 in public
固定短语 in public，意思是“在公共场合”。
2. on 改成 with/to
agree on的意思是“就...达成一致”，要求其主语必须是多人方可；
agree with/to sth意思是“同意...”。
3. the 改成 a
固定短语 as a result of...，意思是“因为/由于...”。
4. possible 改成 likely
没有sb be possible to do sth的句型，但是有sb be likely to do sth的句型，意思是“某人有可能做某事”。
5. effected 改成 affected
effect是名词，affect才是动词，意思是“影响”。
