这句话英语应该是这样说的："To decline is to accept the other alternative." 中间不应该断开。更具体的话，要说成："To decline （this alternative） is to accept the other alternative." 这样要说就更明白了，但是， 为了交谈顺畅，都会把已经知道的一些内容省略掉。
