先行词都要放在引导词前面。
whose具有兼作who和 which的所有格的双重功能，既可指人，也可指物。
Mr Liu wants to talk to the students whose homework hasn't been handed in．刘老师要跟那些没交家庭作业的学生谈话。
Mr Brown has written a novel whose name（=the name of which）I've completely forgotten．布朗先生写了部小说，其书名我完全忘了。
注意：下列情况whose与of which切不可混用
1.of which同数词或代词（如some，many，little等）连用表示部分与整体关系时，通常不可用 whose。
Mr White wrote many articles，some of which were translated into Chinese．怀特先生写了不少文章，其中一些译成了中文。
In Barcelona the Chinese team got 16 gold medals，12 of which were won by women．在巴塞罗那中国队获得16块金牌，其中12块由女运动员赢得。
2.of which修饰定语从句中的主语，是表示同位关系的代词both，all等时，切不可用whose
He has some novels，all of which are written in Russian．他有一些小说，都是用俄文写的。
Living in the Central American desert has its problems,of which obtaining water is not the least.
这里of which修饰problems，problems放在其前面,没有你说的那种情况。
住在中美沙漠有许多问题，其中取水一点也不容易。

I want to borrow a pen to write with为什么要加with？可以去掉吗？
答：完全可以。
析：这是某人随手造的一个句子，没有生活基础的句子，只是想表达一个语法概念。
原句型是：The pen is comfortable to write with.
在这个句型中， 不定式应该是及物动词，与主语在逻辑上有动宾关系。相当于：To write with the pen is comfortable.
此句型源于：The nut is hard to crack. <--To crack the nut is hard.
语法书一再提醒，如果是不及物动词，需要加上一个适当的介词，如：
The room is comfortable to live in. 不能没有这个in, 因为不能说：live the room.
同理，不能说：The pen is comfortable to write, 因为不能说to write the pen. （尽管write常作及物动词用，但它的宾语是a book, a letter, 不是a pen)
后来，就慢慢扩展到别的句型中去了，如：
I need a piece of paper to write on.
I need a pen to write with.
I have two letters to write.
而这是由 sb. has sth. to do. 演变而来的语法。这里的to do与sth.在逻辑上也有动宾关系。to do 是不定式作后置定语。与sth. is hard to do. 有类似之处。
但是I want to borrow a pen to write with. 这个句子，是脱离生活实践的人工句。to write with，作为一个限制性后置定语，实在是蛇足，是多余的。谁都知道，钢笔的作用，就是用来写字的。不需要说：我想借一支用来写字的钢笔。只需要说：我想借一支钢笔。就可以了。
我说去掉这个with,完全可以，是将这个to write (write 在这里是不及物动词，表示“写字”，“写文章”，“写信”）看作目的状语，=In order to write, I want to borrow a pen. 意为：为了写信（字、文章），我想借一支笔。
尽管不是很生活，毕竟也是说得通的。
Michel表示，人们想隐藏自己的笔迹是不可能的。

只凭肉眼观看别人的笔迹，她就可以知道她想知道的东西。
下面是重点：

哈，这个与单复数没有关系，这个就是一个定语从句，关系代词可以用which或that, 人的时候用who.
此处当然也可以填which.

填those的不对之处在于，你如果把它看成两个句子的话，中间一定要有连接词链接。比如and.
经观察，此句为定语从句，修饰machines，又因为是限制性定语从句（引导词前面没有逗号），故用that。定语从句的引导词是没有those的。
填 that
those（那些）是特指代词，必须指代前文的某个提过的东西。如果你觉得those指代"machines"，那么语法是错的。首先machines和those重复累赘，而后面的从句"...help her.."还缺少了引导词，不能形成句子。
只有填that，引导一个定语从句，修饰machines，that在从句中作主语，不能省略。
这是限制定语从句，在从句中做主语 that 不可以省略
