others和the others的区别为：意思不同、用法不同、侧重点不同。
一、意思不同
1.others意思：其他人员。
2.the others意思：其他，其他人。
二、用法不同
1.others用法：other用作形容词作“别的，其他的，另外的”解时，常用来修饰复数名词或不可数名词，如前面有this, that, some, any, each, every, no, none, one等词时，也可用来修饰单数名词。
2.the others用法：other用作代词时常用于复数形式，表示“其他的，别的或另外的人〔事物〕”，others若用于the或表示所属关系的限定词后，则表示“其余的人〔事物〕”，即把剩下的全部包括在内。
三、侧重点不同
1.others侧重点：代词，泛指“部分”含义，用于已知的一些人或物中，除去某些后余下的人或物中的一部分。在句中可作主语、宾语。
2.the others侧重点：指已知人或物中的一部分时，只能用the others，不能用another，此时的other作代词。
