摇滚乐带给人的强烈快感主要胜在节奏。摇滚乐突出节奏的变化与统一带给人的以基本保持一段时间的律动感，让人禁不住随之摇摆，因此会有一种强烈的审美感受。
要论作曲上的技巧、四大件的音色等等很多其他类型的音乐都不输给摇滚，所以摇滚乐在这方面主要胜在节奏。当然，即使是有很好的律动感，糟糕的编曲或者难听的音色依旧会破坏音乐整体的感觉。如果你只能用“爽”字来形容你听到的摇滚乐的话，那么在你不知道谁是凤凰传奇的情况下你听凤凰传奇也是“爽”的。
在我看来有些人第一次听到摇滚乐他是不知道什么是摇滚乐的，这个“爽”的感受还是来自于对氛围的直观听觉感受。
空腹忌听进行曲 进行曲有强烈节奏感、加上铜管齐奏的效果，随着步步向前的感觉驱使，会进一步加剧饥饿感。
生气忌听摇滚乐 人生气时头脑不冷静，情绪易冲动。若在怒气未消时听到疯狂而富有刺激的摇滚乐，无疑会使人火上浇油，助长人的怒气而伤身。
吃饭时忌听打击乐 打击乐节奏明快、铿锵有力、音量大，吃饭时欣赏会导致心跳加快、情绪不安，影响食欲，有碍食物的消化。
悲伤时忌听忧伤的乐曲 人处于悲哀、忧愁之时，往往情绪消沉。精神颇废，如果再听到忧伤感怀的乐曲，将会愈发加重人有悲愁情绪，使人不能摆脱痛苦。
睡前忌听交响乐 交响乐有气势，起伏跌宕，激荡人心。播放此类乐曲，令人精神兴奋，情绪激烈，使人难以睡眠。
