What will the home of the future look like?A team of architects(建筑师) in HongKong say that city homes will be tiny(极小的),as populations continue to grow and space becomes more expensive.
未来的房屋将会是什么样呢？香港的一个建筑师团队认为随着人口的继续增长和空间的持续变贵，城市的房屋将变得非常小。
They have designed 'space flats'.They are just 30 square meters in size.These flats have three small rooms:a living room,a bathroom and a bedroom,as well as a balcony.But everything is carefully planned to make good use of the limited(有限的) space.
他们设计了“公寓套房”只有30平方米。这些小公寓有三个房间，一个客厅，一个浴室，一个带阳台的卧室。所有的一切都被仔细的设计以充分利用那些有限的空间。
The living room is the main room of the flat.It can be used as an office,a kitchen or even a second bedroom.There is a sofa that can be changed into a bed.The dining table can be changed into a computer desk.And if not needed,both the sofa-bed and the table can be folded(折叠) away and stored into a small space in the wall.There is a flat-screen TV,which can also serve as a computer monitor.In one corner of the room,a small cooker,a microwave oven and a miniature refrigerator are hidden out of sight.
客厅是小公寓的主要房间，它可以用来做办公室，厨房甚至第二个卧室。客厅的沙发可以被改装成一张床。饭桌可以被改装成电脑桌。如果不需要的时候，沙发和饭桌可以折叠起来并存放在墙上的小空间。有一个平幕电视，也可以用来作电脑的显示器，在房间的角落有小的炊具和微波炉，并且有个一个看不见的小型的冰箱。
The other rooms are small but practical(实用的).The bathroom contains a toilet and a shower.The double bed in the bedroom can also be a sofa,if necessary.The balcony has enough room for two people to sit and enjoy the view from the block of flats.All the rooms have high ceiling to provide as much storage(贮藏) space as possible,while the flat has large windows to let in plenty of sunlight.
其他的房间虽然较小但是很实用，浴室包括洗手间和淋浴。卧室的双人床在必须的情况下也可以作沙发。阳台有足够的空间容纳两个人并享受公寓套房街区的风景，所有的房间都有足够的顶棚来以尽可能提供足够的贮藏空间，而小公寓也有非常大的窗户以便能进入更多的阳光。
