其实本题考查的是名词性从句中的定语从句。
注意在名词性从句中，that是不作成分的，只起到连接、引导后面句子的作用。且没有实际意思。
而本题the children discover the secret cave 这句话是不缺少成分的，但是如果要与前面的句子连接起来的话，这句话的意思就不完整了。而where是连接副词，表示“哪里，---地方”
