农民

他的文化建立在枪杆子上。他认为，对美国宪法第二次修正案是神圣不可侵犯的。美国的文学和学术界认为，这种观点不仅是过时的，而且还是危险的。

朝花夕拾
苏格兰爱尔兰人是完全独立的，有着个人主义的人。这违背他们的全体共同性的意愿。但是，正如美国匆忙重新界定自己的贡献之时，苏格兰爱尔兰人却杰出而继续保持低调。我们的文化需要收回它本身——停止让别人定义，嘲笑，甚至利用它——并且这样做，来赢得他们对塑造美国形象赢得的权利。

谁是苏格兰爱尔兰人
几十年中导致的美国革命，多达400,000移民离开爱尔兰，苏格兰和英格兰北部奔向美国。他们中有些是爱尔兰人，有些是英国人，大部分是苏格兰新教徒，大多来自北爱尔兰，他们在那里已经厌倦彼此宗教，英国圣公会和爱尔兰天主教之间的冲突。
