It is known to us all that the computer is the most important invention in the 20th century. It has been developed a lot since it appeared. Also, our daily life has greatly changed because of it.
A computer can think and remember things like man, but it is millions of times faster than human begins. As a result, computers have been used in the fields of agriculture(农业), industry(工业), education(教育) and so on. For example, we can learn our lessons at home by using a computer instead of going to school.
Computers have entered our dailylife. So it is important for us to learn how to use a computer. And we must start right now.

The computer is a wonderful machine. They are already widely used in industries and in universities. They are used in many ways.
Computers can do many kinds of work. For example, computers can helps us do maths problems quickly. Some problems are too hard for us to work them out, but computers can. A scientist can ask computers some questions, and the computers can answer on the screen.
In a car-factory computer tells the robots how to do with the cars.
Computers are very useful. So many parents buy computers for their children. They hope computers can help them improve their studies in school, but some children don’t do as what parents want them to do. Because they used the computers for surfing on the Internet and spend too much time playing computer games instead of learning. It does not good for their eyesight. So their parents complain about computers not help children to study but also make them fall behind.
In many companies computers instead of workers to work. So many people lose their jobs. So many workers think computers bring them a lot of trouble.
If computers are good for us or bad for us it’s hard to say so I hope computers will be used in the right way.

On the Internet
The Internet is becoming more and more important in our daily life. On the net, we can learn news both at home and abroad and all kinds of other information as well. We can also send messages by e-mail, make phone calls, go to net school, read different kinds of books and learn foreign languages by ourselves. Besides, we can enjoy music, watch sports matches and play chess or cards. On the net, we can even do shopping, have a chat with others and make friends with them. In a word, the Internet has made our life more colourful.

I have a dream when I was a little child. I wanted to be an artist which is my dream job. The reason why I wanted to be an artist is that I wanted to have freedom. I also wanted to decide working time and place by myself. I can do painting any time and anywhere if I become an artist when I grow up. To be an artist, I have to be very creative and hard working. Now, I have to do my homework seriously and make sure that I get most questions correct. At weekends, I can join some painting classes. There are numerous benefits that flow from the use of computers in schools. Interest in a subject can be stimulated by sound ad visual illustrations superior to ‘chalk-and-chalk’ alone and students are given easy access to a wealth of reference material. Internet access offers the chance to communicate with other students around the world. Programmed learning tailored to the speed of individual students can be adopted. Computer skills such as programming can be developed.
There is, however, a negative side. There is the danger that computers encourage “cut-and-paste” copying without a real understanding of what is being said. Also, for many purposes traditional teacher-centered classrooms remain more effective than time spent working alone. And, of course, computers always offer the temptation to play games rather than getting down to difficult learning tasks.
On balance, however, the advantages clearly outweigh the disadvantages.
