This is a special day for our earth. People all over the world celebrate this important day. This is Earth Day.
Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd each year. In America, 20 million people took part in the first Earth Day activities in 1970.
Why do we celebrate it every year? We celebrate Earth Day to tell people to take good care of our earth. We need to keep our rivers, lakes, and ponds clean so that there is enough water for us to drink. As students we can do lots of things to keep our earth clean. Let's start by cleaning our schools, homes and neighbourhoods.
