In the second place, we can make friends with people from all parts of the world. It overcomes the geographical barriers and makes the world smaller. However, the other side of the coin voices its strong opposition, saying that the Internet has many weaknesses. For one thing, it can easily lead to psychological problems. An internet-addicted person tends to be isolated, self-centered and unsociable. For another, there is a sharp rise in the number of cyber crimes. More and more financial crimes such as money laundering are committed via the Internet. In addition, it also has negative impacts on young people because there are a lot of obscene and violent contents on line.
There is probably a litter bit of truth in both arguments. For my part, I completely agree with the latter view that the Internet has more disadvantages than advantages. It gives rise to people’s mental problems. It results in various computer crimes. What is more, it is harmful to the growth of the young. Something should be done as soon as possible to protect people from the negative effects of the Internet.

Moreover, it has opened new horizons of expanding our knowledge’s there is no subject or issue about which information is not available on net. We can define INTERNET as NEW EDUCATIVE TECHNIQUE for today’s generation. It is of great help to students, professionals, businessmen etc. In fact, it is a lifeline for everyone. Students can explore more and more of knowledge through it and can even appear for their exams and can also look for their results. They can also decide their future through it. Unemployed can look for new class jobs on it. Parents can look for suitable matches for their children on sites like www.shaadi.com. Writers can put up their writings on sites like www.sulekha.com etc. In other words, nothing is impossible and you can do anything sitting at one place only. Credit card payments, banking, checking of accounts etc can also be done here.
But on the other hand INTERNET can also be defined as ‘NUCLEAR EXPLOITIVE TECHNIQUE’ as it has some negative effects also on today’s generation. There are many unwanted sites that aim at creating nuisance in the society like many areas of chatting are opened where teenagers just waste their time. Even porn sites should also be aired off. People especially teenagers should understand the importance and use of this facility.
INTERNET is very lucrative and productive. It only depends that how it is used. It is definitely a boon for the society but only if accessed properly.
