forever可以用作副词
forever的基本意思是指某一件事情将不停地继续下去,即“永远”,还可表示一件事情一去不复返了,即“永久”。
forever常用于肯定句,在否定句中可用ever。forever在表示“永远”时,多用来修饰静态动词,表示“不停地,无休止地”时,用于现在进行时或过去进行时来表达厌恶、不耐烦或赞叹的感情,其位置总是在be和分词之间。
forever还可写作for ever,前者是美式英语,后者是英式英语。
