I like badminton very much. Because playing badminton have many advantages. It is lots of fun and players with even a moderate amount of skill can jump right in and enjoy not only the social aspects of team play but also the fantastic health benefits of a great cardiovascular workout. Exception, it can let us keep healthy; it can let us be feeling exciting, it can let us be happier; it can let us be flexible; it can let us increase stamina, attention and action ability; it can cultivate volition; it can let us get them out of trouble; and it is a very good way to keep fit and from which I gain a large amount of fun. Additionally, Badminton is a physical demanding game, and it is mentally challenging as well. In mixed doubles, teamwork is the key in forming a formidable partnership.
I play badminton. I think it is a great sport that makes you meet loads of new people and enjoy yourself at the same time, and it’s good for my eyes、feet and body.

Once players have mastered these basic strokes, they can hit the shuttlecock from and to any part of the court, powerfully and softly as required. Beyond the basics, however, badminton offers rich potential for advanced stroke skills that provide a competitive advantage. Because badminton players have to cover a short distance as quickly as possible, the purpose of many advanced strokes is to deceive the opponent, so that either he is tricked into believing that a different stroke is being played, or he is forced to delay his movement until he actually sees the shuttle's direction. "Deception" in badminton is often used in both of these senses. When a player is genuinely deceived, he will often lose the point immediately because he cannot change his direction quickly enough to reach the shuttlecock. Experienced players will be aware of the trick and cautious not to move too early, but the attempted deception is still useful because it forces the opponent to delay his movement slightly. Against weaker players whose intended strokes are obvious, an experienced player will move before the shuttlecock has been hit, anticipating the stroke to gain an advantage.

Badminton - Benefits and disadvantages

Benefits
Coordination, flexibility, endurance, visual acuteness
Badminto omproves coordination, flexibility and balance. It exercises the glutei (accelerations), abdominal and dorsal muscles (receptions and returns), reinforces the joints. Badminton develops spatial perception and visual acuteness. It also mproves endurance, fights against obesity, stress or anxiety.

In the long run
In the long run, the practice of badminton improves :
Endurance,
Reflexes,
Perception and coordination of movements,
Technicality,
Centre of gravity.

Contraindications
Badminton, although it involves the majority of the muscles and joints of the body, is not a sport to be avoided neither should it be seen as a dangerous sport. Some precautions are to be taken at the following levels:
The lower extremities,
The ankles (risks of sprains),
The knees,
Be careful of tendinitis, contusions,
Risk of pain to the shoulders and the deltoids.

A non-contraindication certificate
An annual medical consultation is advised, to check the heart, respiratory, ophthalmologic and articular functions. From the age of 35, more advanced cardiac tests are required for competition.

Badminton and children
Badminton is first of all a ludic sport, easy and accessible at any age. It allows the child or the adolescent:
To practice an intensive sport while preserving his joints thanks to the lightness and the handiness of the equipment,
To improve his psychomotor capacities by the originality of the trajectory of the shuttlecock,
To sharpen his visual concentration and functions.

In short, badminton remains a sport that can be practised by everybody, outdoor or indoor, with more or less intensity, improving greatly the player's wellbeing and physical condition.
