1.成功的名词是success，动词是succeed，形容词是successful，副词时successfully。例子我用同一句汉语句子通过success不同的形式翻译给你看。在规定的时间里，他们成功的完成了任务。
(1)They succeeded in finishing the task within the given time
(2)The were successful in finishing the tast within the given time.
(3)They finished the task within give time successfully.
(4)It's a success that they finished the task within the given time.
只要你分清楚它们的区别，再弄清楚个中词性的单词在句子中是什么位置，你应该就不会害怕总是不能成功的用成功这个单词了。
2.marry是动词，用法就是直接marry sb，marriage是名词，婚姻。没什么词组。get married to sb，和某人结婚，注意这里介词是to，不是with
3。join 指加入某组织并成为其中一员(join the Party, join the army, join us)
join in 一般指参加活动,不过不是很大型
(join in the game, join in the conversation,join in the singing)
大型的一般用take part in
正式活动用attend
(meeting,wedding,funeral)
例子有:The man over there joined our club 4 months ago(此处指成为我们这个俱乐部的一员) ，he's going to join in the singing contest
this Sunday。（此处讲他将参加一个比赛，这个比赛不是很大型的）
4.举例，在他18岁那年，他之身一人来到了美国。

3.三个词都有到达的意思，只是用法不同：reach不加介词后面直接加宾语；arrive+in+大地点，arrive+at+小地点;get+to+somewhere

reach 及物动词，后不用加介词，reach home
arrive 后要加，arrive at home
get也要加介词，get to 地点 如果是副词就不用加介词，如get home/there
