四、用法不同
over表示方向可作“从或通过…顶上”解，在表示“从…边沿溢出；漫过”的意思时，其后一般接容器类物体、河堤等。例如：
My sums were wrong and I had to do them over.我的总数错了，只好再算一遍。
above表示位置时笼统指“在上方”，不一定垂直，也不与其宾语相接触。the above可用作名词，在句中用作主语时，谓语动词可用单数形式，也可用复数形式。例如：
We are fascinated by the stars twinkling above.天空中闪烁的星星让我们陶醉着。

1. above“在...之上”， 表示位置之高。只是笼统的说“在...之上”，并不一定会有“在...之
