Hello, my dear teacher and classmates. It is my turn to do duty report today. My topic is "the purpose of studying". As a high school student, i think，maybe the main idea of learning is to attend the NMET, so that i can take part in the university. i always dream about that. but, then, i am confused. if my motivation is just to pass the test, how it be meaningful to acquire knowledge? and, what should be my goal in college learning without serious exams? what should i do in university? i ask myself again and again. and, then, i find the meaning of study i think. to study is not only to meet exams. the deeper and more important purpose is to improve my ability and overcome my weakness. only by being intested in what i am learning, having the inner motivation wil i have a bright future. i should be responsible for my life from now on as well as you.（不知合适不，可以自己改改）

My name is Winnie. I'm 15 years old I live in the beautiful city of .... I'm an active, lovely, and clever girl. In the school my favorite subject is math. Perhaps someone thinks it's difficult to study well. But I like it. I believe that "Nothing is difficult if you put your heart into it."(世上无难事，只怕有心人。）I also like sports very much. Today I want to talk about a funny story.
Not long after an old Chinese woman came back to China from her visit to her daughter in the States, she went to a city bank to deposit the US dollars her daughter gave her. At the bank counter, the clerk checked each note carefully to see if the money was real. It made the old lady out of patience.

At last she could not hold any more, uttering. "Trust me, Sir, and trust the money. They are real US dollars. They are directly from America."

一位中国老妇人在美国看望女儿回来不久，到一家市银行存女儿送给她的美元。在银行柜台，银行职员认真检查了每一张钞票，看是否有假。

这种做法让老妇人很不耐烦，最后实在忍耐不住说：“相信我，先生，也请你相信这些钞票。这都是真正的美元，它们是从美国直接带来的。”

“Before I came out，” said one，“I ran into some of the rooms and found a lot of money, People don't think of money when they're afraid, if someone leaves somemoney in the fire, the fire will burns it, So I took all the money that I could find．No one will be poor because of I took them．”
“Do you know my work?” said the other．
“What is your work？”asked the first man

“No.”said the policeman．
“I'm a writer． I'm always telling stories about things that never happened．”
