是美国最大、人们最喜爱的节日。

据基督教徒的圣书《圣经》说，上帝决定让他的独生子耶稣基
督投生人间，找个母亲，然后就在人间生活，以便人们能更好地了
解上帝、学习热爱上帝和更好地相互热爱。“圣诞节”的意思是“
庆祝基督”，庆祝一个年轻的犹太妇女玛丽娅生下耶稣的时刻。

玛丽娅已和木匠约瑟夫订婚。可是，在他们同居之前，约瑟夫
发现玛丽娅已怀孕。因为约瑟夫是个正派的人，又不想把这件事说
出去让她丢脸，所以他想悄悄地和她分手。他正在考虑这事时，上
帝的天使出现在他的梦中，对他说，“不要嘀咕了，把玛丽娅娶回
家。她怀的孩子来自圣灵。她将生下个男孩子，你们给孩子起名叫
耶稣，因为他将从罪恶中拯救人们。”

尽管耶稣的确切生日并不清楚，大约是在2000年前，但是日历
按着假定日期把时间分为公元前（耶稣基督诞生前）和公元后（A.
D. 是拉丁文缩写，意思是“有了我们主--耶稣的年代”）。在公
元后的头三百年间，耶稣的生日是在不同的日子庆祝的。最后，在
公元354年，教堂的领导人把12月25日定为耶稣基督的生日。


The Origin of Christmas

Christmas Day-December 25-which celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, the founder of the Christian religion, is the biggest and best-loved holiday in the United States.

According to the Bible, the holy book of Christians, God decided to allow his only son, Jesus Christ, to be born to a human mother and live on earth so that people could understand God better and learn to love God and each other more. "Christmas"- meaning "celebration of Christ "- honors the time when Jesus was born to a young Jewish woman Mary.

Mary was engaged to be married to Joseph, a carpenter, but before they came together, she was found to be with child. Because Joseph, her husband, was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

Although the exact date of the birth of Jesus nearly 2,000 years ago is not known, the calendar on the supposed date divides all time into B.C. (Before Christ )and A.D. ( a Latin phrase, Anno Domini, "in the year of our Lord.")For the first 300 years, Jesus' birthday was celebrated on different dates. Finally, in the year 354, church leaders chose December 25 as his birthday.

(The huntsman cannot help but moves back, surprised and useless.)

A Prince walks on the stage.

The Prince: Ha! How beautiful she is !(Goes forward and stops her.)

Snow White :Please let me go!
白雪公主:请让我走吧!
The Prince: Who are you Tell me, please.(Snow White turns and runs away.)
王子:告诉我,你是谁 (白雪转身跑了.)
The Prince: Ha! I've never met such a beautiful girl.
王子:啊!她的美丽我从没见过.
I've never had this feeling.

(Goes out of stage)(退下)
(Snow White appears on the stage.)

(A huntsman follows.)

Snow White:(Frightened)Slay me I cannot believe this, surely you are mistaken
白雪公主:(惊恐的)杀我 真不敢相信,你一定弄错了.
Huntsman: There is no mistake! The Queen is jealous of your beauty.
猎人:我没弄错!皇后嫉妒您的美貌.
She has ordered me to slay you.
她命令我把你杀了.
Snow White: Please, huntsman, let me go.
白雪公主:求求你,猎人,放了我吧.
Huntsman: Run away, my poor child ,to the forest far away.
猎人:逃吧,我可怜的孩子,往森林里跑.
Snow White: I shall never forget you, Huntsman!
白雪公主:我永远不会忘记你的,猎人!
Huntsman: Go!
猎人:走!
(Snow White hears Huntsman's words and runs unsteady into the forest)
白雪公主听了猎人的话,跌跌撞撞地跑进丛林.
(Snow White runs and runs . And she stops before a house.)
白雪公主跑呀跑,来到一幢小房子前.
Snow White: Hello Is there anyone at home Hello Can anyone hear me
白雪公主:喂,有人在家吗
(Snow White pushes the door open and walks in.)
白雪公主轻轻推开房门,走了进去.
(She sees seven small beds, and a small table with seven bowls full of food on it.)
她看见七张小床.小桌上放着七只盛满食物的小碗.
Snow White: :I'm so hungry.
白雪公主:我饿极了.
(She ate some food and went to sleep in bed.)
她吃了一点东西,倒在床上睡着了.
(The seven dwarfs come home.)
七个小矮人回来了.
Dwarf1: Who ate my bread
矮人1:谁吃了我的面包
Dwarf2: Who sat here
矮人2:谁动过我的椅子
Dwarf3: Who had my fruit
矮人3:谁吃了我的水果
Dwarf4: Who drank from my cup
矮人4:谁喝过我的水
Dwarf5: Who used my spoon
矮人5:谁用过我的汤勺
Dwarf6: Who touched my bowl
矮人6:谁碰过我的小碗
Dwarf7: Who is sleeping in my bed
矮人7:谁睡在我的床上
(The dwarfs talk about what had happened.)
从矮人七嘴八舌,纷纷议论.
The dwarfs: (Shh…) Isn't she beautiful
众矮人:(惊叹)多么美丽的小姑娘呀
Dwarf1:Let her sleep till morning.
矮人1:让她睡吧,一直睡到明天.
Snow White:(Wakes up and looks around.)Where am I
白雪公主:(醒来,环顾四周)我在哪
The dwarfs: Who are you Why are you here
众矮人:你是谁 你怎么到这儿来
Narrator: Snow White tells her story.
旁白:白雪公主将她的遭遇讲给小矮人们听.
Dwarf1: What an evil Queen!
矮人1:多狠毒的皇后呀!
Dwarf2:I'll help you.
矮人2:我会帮你的.
Dwarfs: Me,too,Me,too.
众矮人:我也是,我也是.
Dwarf3: Stay with us.
矮人3:和我们生活在一起吧.
Dwarfs: Yes,yes.
从矮人:好吧,好吧.
(Snow white stays with the seven dwarfs. The dwarfs cheers.)
白雪公主和七个小矮人生活在一起.(众矮人欢呼!)
(The Queen disguises herself as an old woman with a basket in her arm.)
皇后装扮成一个老妇,挎篮子上.
The Queen: Curse that miserable huntsman! I must kill her!
(Showing a poisonous apple.)
皇后:该死的猎人!我一定要毒死她.(示苹果)
(She finds the house where the seven dwarfs live.)
她找到小矮人住的房子.
Apples-Apples-.Buy some apples.
卖苹果啦——卖苹果啦——
They are big, sweet and delicious!
又香又甜的大苹果!
Snow White:(Open the window.)Sorry ,I don't want your apples.
白雪公主: (打开窗子.)对不起,我不买你的苹果.
Go away.
你走吧.
The Queen: Buy one, Miss, for my child's sake.
皇后:小姐,看在我孩子的份上,你就买一个吧!
Snow White: What's the matter with your child
白雪:你孩子怎么啦
The Queen: He's dying of sickness.
皇后:他病得快死啦!我等着卖苹果的钱给他买药.
Snow White: Poor child. I'll help you.
(Take some money out of her pocket.)
白雪:可怜的人.我愿意帮助你.(掏钱给)
The Queen: Thank you my good child. Have it quickly.
(Pass the apple to her.)
皇后:谢谢你,好孩子.快吃吧!(递苹果)
Snow White: Please have some, Granny.( Return the apple.)
白雪:老人家,你吃吧!(反递)
The Queen: King girl, the apple is yours. I won't take you money if you don't eat it.
皇后:好孩子,苹果是你买的,你不吃,我就不收你的钱.
(Snow White take over the apple and takes a bit and faints.)
白雪公主接过苹果咬了一口,马上倒地死去了.
The Queen:(Leaves proudly.)
皇后:(得意地离开)
(With tools on their shoulders , the seven dwarfs walk home singing happily.)
小矮人扛着劳动工具,哼着歌儿往家走来.
Dwarf1:Ah, Snow White!
矮人1:啊,白雪公主!
Dwarf2: What's the matter with Snow White
矮人2:白雪公主怎么啦
Dwarf2:(Put a hand near her nose.)She's dead.
矮人2:(用手试试)她死啦!
Dwarfs: Dead!
众矮人:死啦!
(The Dwarfs are on their knees beside Snow White. crying sadly.)
小矮人们悲哀地跪在白雪身前,哭得伤心极了.
(The Prince appears on the stage.)
王子上.
The Prince: How beautiful she is!
王子:多美丽的姑娘啊!
The Prince:(Comes near her.)Is the girl I saw before
What's the matter with her
王子:(近前)啊!这不是我见过的那位姑娘吗 她怎么啦
The Dwarfs: She's dead!
众矮人:她被人毒死啦!
The prince: I'll try my best to revive her.
王子:我一定要想法救活她!
(He takes out a little bottle. takes out a pill and puts it into Snow White's mouth.)
(从身边掏出一只小瓶子,倒出一粒丹药,上前,扶起白雪,喂到她嘴里.)
(The poison apple comes out. She wakes.)
(公主吐出毒苹果.她醒过来了.)
The Dwarfs: Ah!
众矮人:啊!
(Snow White and the seven dwarfs are singing happily.)
(白雪公主和众人欢乐.)
Narrator: The evil Queen breaks the magic mirror. The Mirror draws her in and she disappears forever.
旁白:邪恶的王后气得打碎魔镜.魔镜却把她吸了进去,她永远地消失了.
They live happily for many many years in the palace.
白雪公主随王子来室王宫,从此过得幸福快乐的生活.

公主:(边跑边说)Thank you! Thank you!(猎人下,公主继续跑)
公主:(四下张望,来到门前)May I come in (敲门,无人答)Anybody here (推门进,数)One, two, three,… Oh, seven chairs and seven cups. Who live here (打个哈欠)I'm too tired.(抽出凳子,坐凳上)Oh, I'm too thirsty.(喝两杯,边打哈欠边睡)

小矮人:(推门,进来,跑到桌前)

新王后:(跑过去,看看,探探呼吸,拿掉头巾,大笑离开)

魔镜:It's you.
新王后:(大笑,边笑边下)
(小矮人回来)

小4:But you can't. She is dead.

小矮人:(惊讶)
