格拉芙1969年出生在德国，在1985年她打进了了温布尔登网球赛的半决赛，那时她仅仅16岁。但是在决赛，她输给了另一位伟大的选手玛蒂娜·纳芙拉蒂诺娃。人们都惊异于她在比赛中显示出来的力量和能力。她很快就成为了一个著名的网球选手。并且多次赢得许多重要的赛事。

许多的孩子希望有一天能成为作家。他们想为人们写故事来供人阅读。这固然是很好的！给人们写一些东西来阅读是件很好的事！但是他们应该知道在他们真正成为好的作家之前，他们需要先成为好的读者。他们应该读大量的书来取代他们在空闲时花在看电视和玩游戏上的时间。
在阅读上有更多的乐趣，所以你想要读更多的书！
在你做决定成为一个好的作者的时候，你最好告诉自己：“我必须先大量的阅读”

一：当我还是个小姑娘的时候，我最想做的事就是旅行（travel这里是名词），而且我决定能实现这个愿望的最好方法就是当一个空姐（这里的be to do不是一个词组，“was”是谓语动词，后面是宾语）。我已经当了空姐两年了，它真是个很有趣的工作因为我可以环游全世界。我发现最重要的一个要求，就是要把英语说得很好（同上一个语法），所以我在成为空姐之前在：“山顶语言学校”学了5年英语。并且正是因为我说的一口流利的英语才成为了空姐（It was because是一个句型it做形式宾语，because后的句子做真正宾语，that后的是句子的主语）。真感谢你，“山顶语言学校”！
二：我想当一名导游。实际上，这是我一直以来的梦想（可以像你说的那么翻译）。我想去旅游，尤其是去一个以英语为母语的国家例如美国和澳大利亚。然而，我知道我需要让我的英语更进一步，所以我开始在“山顶语言学校”上英语课。“山顶语言学校”真的帮助我学习了英语。我现在已经当了这里的学生有一年了，而且我真的很喜欢它。或许当我毕业（leave school译为毕业，而不是离开学校，要注意）后更想要当一位老师而不是导游了。（would rather ....than...译为“比……更想要……”）
It was sunday.The man went out for a walk.When he went along the steet ,he thought he must remenber the name of the streer .There would be no trouble in finding his way back.On the wall near of the street,he saw some English words. He wrote them dowm(把它们写下来）in his note book.“Now i know the name of the street.”He said to himself ."It will be easy for me to come back to the hotel.He walked a long time in the city.Then he wanted to go back.He took the notebookout of his pocket and showed the name of the street to a young man .But the young man didn't know what the Frenchman wanted.He stopped an old woman,but she also didn't understand him.(他叫住了一位老妇人，但她也不明白他的意思。）
Then the Frenchman saw a young woman.The young woman know some French.When she read the words in his notebook,she laughed （大笑起来）,because there were three words:One Way Street.（单行道）
Last year, we had an English teacher from the United States. We called him Mr.Black. He often told us, “English is very useful in the world.” He taught us very well. He was strict with us all. In class he always gave us more time to speak English. At first I could hardly understand a word and I could not talk in English at all. But soon I found English was not so hard and I could talk to my classmates in English. So I began to like it very much.
Now Mr.Black taught in another school. This year we have a new teacher, Mrs.Green. She also teaches us very carefully. She often asks us to recite（背诵）the texts and play games. With the help of the two foreign teachers, we all have made progress.
Now I am enjoying studying this subject. I am sure I will learn a lot this year.
Once there was an old man in a town. He always forgot a lot of things. So his wife always had to say to him, “Don’t forget this!”
One day he went on a long trip alone. Before he left home, his wife said, “Now you have all these things. They are what you need for your trip. Take care of your things during the trip.” He went to the station, bought a ticket and got on the train with it.
About half an hour later, the conductor began to see the tickets. He came to the old man and said, “Will you please show me your ticket?” The old man looked for his ticket in all his pockets, but he could not find it. He was very worried. “I can’t find my ticket. I really bought a ticket before I got on the train.”said the old man.
“I believe you bought a ticket. All right, you don’t have to buy another one,” said the conductor kindly. “But how can I know where I’m going? – I can’t remember my station!”the old man said sadly.
Should students make friends on line ？
Some people say yes.The internet helps make many friends.Chatting on line，students can more freely express their feelings and opinions，and even get help with their foreign language studies .
Others，however，think students should not.They say making friends on line is a waste of time，which should be spent more meaningfully on study.Besides，some students get cheated on line .
It is my opinion that students should place their study，health and safety before other things.As for friendship，we can readily find it in our classmates and other people around us .
My Hometown
Today, I am telling you about my hometown.
In the east of China, there is a small city---Haimen. I was born there. Haimen is not far from Shanghai. It’s at the mouth of the Changjiang River.
Haimen is a modern city. There are lots of high buildings in it. In the center of Haimen, there are many shops. You can buy some nice things here. Things in most shops aren’t expensive. You can pay a little money and they are yours.
My hometown is a beautiful city. On each of the roads, there are some big trees and nice flowers. The roads are also very clean. They make people happy and comfortable.
The seasons here are very nice. I like autumn best. The weather is neither hot nor cold. A poem says “Flyer of summer come to my window to sing, then fly away. And yellow leaves of autumn, which have no songs, just fall there with a sign.” It’s very cool.
